THE ACADEMY PROGRAM

Our goal is to cultivate confident, curious learners who thrive academically, socially, and personally. The Academy provides 3 phases of learning: GROUNDING, GROWTH, and FLOURISHING.

GROUNDING

We dedicate the first 2 hours of our 4.5 hour school day to cultivating a strong classical foundation for each student with excellence in academic and professional performance. During this time, students develop high levels of focus, self-discipline, and diligence while embracing the values of hard work and a teachable mind. Through an accelerated math curriculum, as well as rigorous instruction in English Language Arts and reading, we challenge students to reach their full potential and build a strong foundation for lifelong learning and excellence in a classical education.

GROW

The remaining two hours are dedicated to cultivating essential leadership qualities such as confidence, curiosity, self-awareness, cooperation, collaboration, and resilience. Through hands-on, self-guided, and project-based learning, students explore STEM and social studies in ways that foster creativity, critical thinking, and a love of learning—empowering them to become effective leaders in their communities.

FLOURISHING

Fridays are reserved for enrichment learning through project based service to the community that engages what the students have been learning; end of unit activities to provide children with immersive, real life, capstone experiences; and on-site career exploration experiences that allow children to envision themselves in the work force and ignite passions for their future.

End-of-semester experiences coordinated with semester work are provided to allow children opportunities for out-of-state and out-of-country service and exploration.

Through a collaborative approach, we nurture a love of learning while instilling a deep sense of responsibility, creativity, and civic engagement in every student.

COMMUNITY

Beyond weekly service projects, The Academy is designed to support our community at large. In addition to homeschool enrichment opportunities available to all homeschool children, The Academy hosts a library of homeschool curriculum and enrichment activities made available to the public; and parent training courses and support groups to empower success to homeschool families.

Additionally, Academy students provide forums on cutting edge research of relevant topics of health, psychology and well-being to which the community is invited to come and learn and progress in their own journey towards self-actualization.

TUITION

At The Academy, parents are not just observers but integral contributors. In lieu of tuition, each family is required to enlist their unique skills to sustain and enhance their child’s learning experience. We believe education is most powerful when parents are active participants in their child’s learning journey. We believe community is most joyful and abundant when we give our best to each other. There is a place for everyone at The Academy and everyone’s skills are a valuable contribution.

Parents are required to pay a monthly facility fee and provide their children’s own school supplies including course books. A supplies list will be provided before the school year.

FUNDING

All additional funding is provided through private donations and grants. The Academy aims to empower children to have all the skills requisite to fulfill their personal mission. This includes assembling and managing the resources they would need to accomplish their objectives.

In order for children to gain these essential skills, students are involved in both the budgeting of the school as well as fundraising. Children have the opportunity to present the school’s projected expenses to potential donors and request funding support.

If you are an interested donor and would be willing to have students come discuss the school’s financial needs with you, please fill out the form below.

Or, if you would like to donate now, you can do so here.
